A Big Idea Is Calling New Thought
From August 14-18, 2023, the PWR convenes again in Chicago to celebrate the 30-year anniversary since the first modern PWR took place there. 1993 marked the Centennial of the World Congress of Faiths at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893, where the world met Swami Vivekananda, Hindu spiritual teacher who introduced eastern thought to the west and, as it happens, the Fillmores of Unity.
The Association for Global New Thought (AGNT) has assembled teams to organize our New Thought programs, proposals, media, and exhibit space in 1999 (Capetown), 2004 (Barcelona), 2009 (Melbourne), 2015 (Salt Lake City, and 2018 (Toronto). In 2015, we lobbied the CPWR to add "New Thought" to the list of religions one could choose as their affiliation at registration, recognizing that we fit the published criteria as an "official world religion.”
This year, NT leaders from all our organizations are collaborating to achieve the greatest degree of benefit and visibility. With your help, we plan to organize a unified presence for our New Thought Delegation in Chicago.
To this end, leaders and directors are meeting to represent their organization, share ideas, and fine-tune program proposals that have been accepted by the PoWR for presentation at the event. Ministers, teachers, practitioners, musicians, authors, and artists will also present in Chicago.
We have collectively secured a large and visible exhibit space with enough room to feature each organization, thereby manifesting a commanding impact in the McCormick Place Convention Center Exhibition Hall. In a dedicated Faith Room, volunteer New Thought personnel will provide hospitality, facilitate daily dialogues and meditation,and distribute materials on New Thought history, teachings and principles to global attendees.

Hundreds of New Thought folks from all of our organizations have already registered for the event. Many have signed in using this website but we hope to hear from many more so that we can keep you in the loop before and throughout the event.
It is VITAL that we keep good track of all our folks who attend the 2023 PWR Parliament in Chicago. One way you can help us achieve this is to submit our short SURVEY (below) ASAP in addition to registering with the PoWR, itself.
Our New Thought Faith Room, and collective exhibit hall space will serve as a hub for communications among delegates while onsite. Once we have your contact information, we can share updates about informal gatherings and discussions, along with vital event information as it comes in. The survey (below) invites you to explore opportunities to volunteer in a variety of capacities throughout the week.
In advance and onsite, we will provide delegates with a roster of all New Thought programs taking place within the larger Parliament schedule. Check this out now.
